Role Overview

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Commercial and Property Solicitor to join our dynamic legal team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of commercial and property law matters, providing expert legal advice and support to a diverse client base, ranging from SMEs to larger corporations. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of commercial property transactions, including sales and purchases, landlord and tenant matters (lease drafting, renewals, and negotiations), and property development projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, such as shareholder agreements, terms and conditions, and partnership agreements.
  • Provide commercially astute legal advice to clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through excellent service delivery and communication.
  • Handle all aspects of file management, including due diligence, title investigation, and post-completion formalities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in the firm's business development and networking initiatives to contribute to the growth of the department.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 2 years PQE in commercial and/or property law.
  • Proven experience managing a caseload of commercial property transactions from instruction to completion.
  • Strong technical knowledge of landlord and tenant law.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to provide pragmatic and effective legal solutions.

Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • Experience with corporate support and general company commercial matters.
  • A following of clients or strong business development skills.
  • Experience with case management software.
