The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for driving value creation through advanced analytics, business partnerships, and operational excellence. The position partners closely with senior leadership to enable data-driven decision-making, while playing a critical role in executing complex business transformations.

A core focus of the role is the hands-on implementation of carve-out and separation activities, including the deployment of a new ERP (SAP S/4HANA) and supporting financial systems. The role combines strong financial stewardship with forward-looking capabilities, leveraging AI tools (including platforms such as Claude) to modernize processes, enhance insights, and scale the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, translating financial insights into clear, actionable decisions
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management aligned with strategic priorities
  • Provide forward-looking analysis to drive growth, margin expansion, and capital efficiency
  • Support resource allocation and investment decisions, including ROI and value creation initiatives

 

Carve-Out Execution & Systems Implementation

  • Lead and support the execution of carve-out and separation activities, ensuring operational continuity and financial integrity
  • Drive the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and related finance systems, including design, testing, data migration, and go-live readiness
  • Establish standalone finance processes, controls, and reporting structures
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution to ensure Day 1 readiness and post-go-live stabilization

 

AI Enablement & Digital Transformation

  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools (e.g., Claude and similar platforms) to enhance forecasting, reporting, and decision support
  • Lead automation and process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and accuracy
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities
  • Embed a data-driven decision-making culture across the organization

 

Financial Operations & Governance

  • Oversee monthly close, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity, ensuring accuracy and speed
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with US GAAP
  • Ensure robustness of general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting processes
  • Support audits and strengthen governance frameworks

 

Performance Management & Value Creation

  • Define and monitor KPIs to drive accountability and outcomes
  • Lead analysis on commercial performance, cost drivers, and profitability
  • Embed a cash flow and working capital mindset
  • Deliver high-impact insights and executive reporting

 

 

Qualifications

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA preferred)
  • 8+ years in FP&A, finance operations, or strategic finance
  • Proven experience in ERP implementation (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
  • Hands-on experience executing carve-outs or business separations
  • Strong business partnering experience with senior stakeholders

 

Technical & Leadership Capabilities

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytics skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and digital finance tools
  • Familiarity with AI platforms (e.g., Claude) and their application in finance workflows
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Strong communication skills, translating finance into business impact
