Role Overview
As a Web3 Infrastructure Associate Director, you will lead the design, deployment, and management of pioneering Web3 infrastructure initiatives, including the DTCC Collateral Appchain. This senior leadership role combines deep expertise in infrastructure engineering, DevSecOps, and blockchain network architecture. You will be responsible for building a secure, scalable, and resilient blockchain platform to support mission-critical financial applications, guiding a team of talented engineers and shaping the future of our distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the development of the DTCC Collateral Appchain and other Web3 infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Oversee the design and implementation of blockchain node infrastructure, consensus mechanisms, and CI/CD pipelines for smart contracts, primarily using Kubernetes-based orchestration.
- Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Terragrunt, ensuring robust automation and compliance with financial industry regulations and security standards.
- Lead incident response for infrastructure-related issues and mentor a team of DevOps and blockchain engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with blockchain infrastructure (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, Substrate, OP Stack).
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and at least one major cloud platform (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Must be based in or willing to work from NYC, New Jersey, Boston, Tampa, or Dallas.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Advanced knowledge of network security, cryptography, and consensus algorithms.
- Proven experience mentoring and leading technical teams.
