Role Overview

Our client is a global production agency that fuses curiosity, culture, and innovative creativity. Working across brand, entertainment, art, film, and fashion, they deliver outstanding experiences for high-profile private and corporate clients. We are seeking an Art Director who lives and breathes culture and brings a rigorous visual intelligence to every project. This is a role for a conceptual thinker who can translate a brief into a cohesive visual world and oversee that vision through to final execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership: Lead the creative direction of projects from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring the visual vision is realised across all physical and digital touchpoints.
  • Visual Identity Development: Create comprehensive visual identities—encompassing typography, colour, and spatial design—that provide a consistent narrative for live events and brand experiences.
  • Collaboration & Execution: Work closely with producers, strategists, and technical teams to translate strategic briefs into original concepts, providing confident art direction on-site during live builds.
  • Stakeholder Management: Present and defend design decisions to clients and internal stakeholders with clarity, confidence, and professional articulation.
  • Mentorship: Support the growth of junior creatives and contribute to the broader creative culture and innovation of the studio.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years’ experience as an Art Director within a creative agency, production company, or in-house brand team specialising in events or experiential design.
  • A portfolio demonstrating a strong, culturally informed creative point of view and a high level of aesthetic craft.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to solve complex creative problems under pressure.
  • A deep understanding of how material, light, and environments translate creative intent into lived experiences.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in the luxury fashion or high-end entertainment sectors.
  • Proficiency in 3D visualising software or spatial design tools.
  • A strong network of specialist creative collaborators and freelancers.
