To support their finance team through a critical period of year-end reporting, we are seeking an experienced Swiss Statutory Accountant for a focused, high-impact three-month contract. Operating fully remotely from your home base in Switzerland, you will act as the vital bridge between US-aligned financial systems and local Swiss compliance, ensuring that statutory reporting remains robust, accurate, and completely aligned with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Swiss Statutory Accountant, you will take ownership of the statutory reporting cycle, translating corporate data into compliant local filings. Your core duties will include:
- Statutory Financial Preparation: Preparing comprehensive Swiss statutory financial statements utilizing a US GAAP general ledger as your primary source data.
- GAAP Translation: Converting and reconciling complex US GAAP accounting data into compliant Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) reporting standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnering closely with both local Swiss and US-based corporate finance teams to align reporting structures and resolve discrepancies.
- Audit Facilitation: Coordinating directly with external auditors, providing clear documentation, and ensuring all deliverables are accurate, transparent, and audit-ready.
- Compliance & Timelines: Safeguarding the integrity of the reporting process by ensuring all statutory submissions are finalised on schedule and in full compliance with Swiss law.
Required Skills & Experience
To step into this fast-paced contract role successfully, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Swiss Statutory Expertise: Proven professional experience in preparing statutory accounts specifically for Swiss entities.
- Swiss Code of Obligations (CO): Deep, practical knowledge of the Swiss Code of Obligations, which is a critical requirement for this position.
- US GAAP Experience: Strong working knowledge of US GAAP systems and experience extracting and translating ledger data from these environments.
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in written and spoken English, the primary business language of the international team.
- Availability & Location: Right to work in Switzerland (visa sponsorship is not available), based locally, and ready to commit to a full-time, three-month contract.

- German Language Skills: Professional proficiency in German is highly beneficial and will assist when dealing with local Swiss authorities or specific regional documentation.
