As our CTO, you will bridge the gap between elite sports performance, global fan engagement, and enterprise technology. You will lead our high-performing tech division, designing and executing a robust digital strategy that supports our global operations. Based in our vibrant London office, this permanent executive role offers the unique challenge of shaping the future of "RecTech" (recruitment technology) and data-driven talent scouting within the sports industry, ensuring Liverpool FC remains ahead of the curve both on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Technology Leadership: Define and deliver a comprehensive global IT and digital strategy that aligns with Liverpool FC's commercial objectives and sporting ambitions.
• Revolutionise Recruitment Tech (RecTech): Champion the development and integration of advanced talent acquisition, scouting, and performance analysis technologies to optimise squad recruitment.
• Scalable Architecture & Infrastructure: Oversee the modernisation of our enterprise architecture, ensuring robust security, scalability, and seamless integration across all digital platforms.
• High-Performing Team Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and scale a diverse team of developers, data scientists, and IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and excellence.
• Data-Driven Fan Engagement: Collaborate with commercial departments to leverage data analytics, enhancing the digital fan experience for our millions of supporters worldwide.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven Executive Leadership: Extensive experience operating as a CTO, VP of Technology, or in a similar high-level leadership role within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Pioneering RecTech Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience in developing or implementing cutting-edge recruitment technology, predictive analytics, or talent scouting platforms.
• Architectural & Cloud Mastery: Strong technical background with proven success in managing complex cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and cybersecurity protocols.
• Stellar Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear strategic initiatives for executive stakeholders, board members, and non-technical departments.
• Agile Delivery Focus: A track record of driving agile development methodologies to deliver high-quality software and digital products on time and within budget.

• Prior experience working within elite sports technology, sports entertainment, or global media organisations.
