Freelance Native Copywriter (Norwegian)

Profiles Creative is looking for a talented Freelance Native Copywriter (Norwegian) to join us on a full-time contract basis. Working remotely with our United Kingdom-based team, you will play a pivotal role in localising and creating high-impact consumer marketing campaigns for a globally recognised FMCG brand. In this role, you will go beyond literal translation, using your creative transcreation skills to ensure every asset captures local cultural nuances, maintains strict brand integrity, and connects authentically with consumers in Norway.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver culturally fluent transcreation, creative copywriting, and localisation for Norwegian consumer-facing marketing and advertising campaigns.
• Adapt multi-channel brand assets while adhering strictly to existing tone of voice, creative briefs, and messaging frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with senior creative team members to produce persuasive, natural, and engaging marketing copy.
• Review, proofread, and run linguistic quality assurance on all regional assets to guarantee exceptional grammar, cultural relevance, and consistency.
• Tailor global campaign concepts into nuanced, market-ready executions that drive strong local engagement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Fluent Norwegian language proficiency with exceptional writing and editing expertise.
• Proven track record in creative marketing copywriting, advertising, and multi-channel campaign writing.
• Strong background in transcreation, localisation, and cultural adaptation rather than direct translation.
• Hands-on experience writing consumer-focused copy for FMCG or CPG brands.
• Demonstrated ability to adopt and maintain established brand voice, guidelines, and style frameworks.

Nice-to-have

• Experience collaborating within creative agency environments alongside Creative Directors and cross-functional teams.
• A strong campaign portfolio highlighting successful consumer product work created for Nordic audiences.
