International HR Consultant Netherlands

Alfa Demo Inc. is looking for an ambitious International HR Consultant Netherlands to join our team in Breda on a permanent, full-time hybrid basis. In this role, you will be the trusted strategic and operational advisor for international clients building and expanding their teams in the Netherlands. You will solve complex HR puzzles, deliver compliant solutions, and champion an exceptional employee experience across the full talent lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Client Advisory: Act as the primary HR sparring partner for international clients and their Dutch workforces, translating complex local requirements into practical, compliant HR strategies.
• Full Lifecycle Oversight: Guide clients through end-to-end employment milestones, including onboarding, performance management, leaves of absence, employee relations, and offboarding.
• Compliance & Absence Management: Steer adherence to Dutch labor legislation, dismissal rules, and statutory sick-leave processes under the Wet verbetering poortwachter.
• Global Mobility & Expat Support: Coordinate Dutch immigration procedures, including work permits, the highly skilled migrant scheme, and applications for the 30% ruling.
• HR Consultancy Projects: Lead multifaceted HR services projects that extend beyond standard Employer of Record (EOR) setups, collaborating with internal legal and payroll specialists across Europe.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven Track Record: Approximately 4 to 5 years of relevant HR experience, ideally gained within HR consultancy, an Employer of Record (EOR) environment, or a client-facing international setting.
• Labor Law Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of Dutch employment law, statutory dismissal procedures, and local HR compliance standards.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) or an equivalent working and thinking level.
• Bilingual Proficiency: Complete professional fluency in both Dutch and English, across written and verbal communication.
• Consultative Mindset: Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to navigate ambiguity and communicate confidently with diverse international stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have

• Knowledge of or practical exposure to Belgian employment legislation and HR compliance.
• A strong affinity for HR technology, HRIS platforms, and digital process optimization.
