Aftercare Manager

Located on-site at our stunning London developments, this permanent, full-time role offers a unique blend of customer relationship management, technical building handover, and defect coordination. Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Defect Management: Monitor the dedicated aftercare inbox and phone line, logging and tracking defects across all active sites, and coordinating the rapid close-out of works with sub-contractors and in-house teams.
- Comprehensive Handover Execution: Lead pre-completion apartment and communal snagging, conduct thorough home demonstrations for residents, take final meter readings, and manage the secure preparation and allocation of keys.
- Documentation & Compliance Ownership: Compile and distribute high-quality Handover Packs, Home User Guides (HUGs), commissioning certificates, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure strict adherence to development-specific guidelines.
- Portfolio Stewardship: Conduct monthly site audits across the group portfolios to oversee estate management, sign off on heritage works, monitor void units, and maintain pristine standards for all show homes.
- Key Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary, trusted liaison between residents, property managers, building management companies, and sub-contractors to resolve inquiries within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
Required Skills & Experience
- Critical Defect Management Expertise: Proven track record in aftercare management, with deep experience in recording, allocating, and inspecting building defects through to successful resolution.
- Exceptional Relationship Management: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to handle sensitive customer queries, manage resident expectations, and build trust.
- Technical Handover & Compliance Knowledge: A solid technical understanding of residential building lifecycles, handovers, and statutory compliance.
- Exceptional Organisation: Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage calendars, track material orders, and produce clear weekly progress reports for internal leadership.
- Right to Work: Candidates must possess full, unrestricted right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Nice-to-Have
- Familiarity with the Building Safety Act, NHBC Buildmark standards, EWS1 certifications, and Heat Network Regulations (HNRS).
- Experience managing complex mechanical and electrical (M&E) home demonstration walkarounds alongside engineering teams.
- Background in coordinating minor refurbishment works or show home reinstatement programmes.
