About the role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to join our banking clients Mobile Banking / Digital Banking team. You will drive business and systems analysis activities across medium to large digital initiatives, owning requirements delivery end to end: planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, management and ongoing support for changes across business areas and technology.
What will you do?
- Perform stakeholder analysis to identify impacted groups and stakeholder responsibilities.
- Develop requirements plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates.
- Manage risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties
- Define the business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on the project and delivery methodology.
- Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to identify business priorities.
- Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, review and prioritization.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze and document detailed business requirements and system requirements using enterprise standard requirements methodology.
- Verify requirements for quality and validate requirements with the impacted stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise and digital standards.
- Resolve conflicts/issues on behalf of BA team and escalate as required.
- Support Design, Development, and QE activities by providing requirements clarifications.
- Support QE test activities including planning, defect triage, and root-cause analysis for requirements-related issues.
- Support the consistency of standards and adherence to enterprise requirements methodology within own BA team.
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and stakeholders.
Daily Responsibilities:
Project Name: Mobile Banking / Digital Banking
You will be responsible for business and systems analysis activities on medium to large size Digital projects.
The role is responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support - for changes to Business Areas and Technology.
Common Agile BA activities:
- Product Backlog Management: Identify, document, and refine user stories to increase the degree of detail relating to acceptance criteria, assumptions, constraints, dependencies. Identify Business Rules and Data Elements associated with the user stories.
- Create and maintain Requirements repository – Business rules, API’s, NFR’s, Data requirements, etc.
- Lead and facilitate collaborative refinement sessions with your squad (tech, product and design team) to gather feedback and ensure common understanding of requirements
- Understanding of Current State: Understand current state from a business perspective and to a lesser degree, from a technical perspective. Operational impacts will be understood in coordination with the Product Owner and Journey Operations Lead.
- Assist Product Owner in decomposing Epics in to User Stories
- Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation in Confluence to support future initiatives, following the enterprise standards
- Assist Product Owner’s in managing risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties
- Provide guidance and support to build the capabilities of the junior BAs and participate in the BA Chapters, encouraging knowledge sharing and learning across the entire BA practice
- Sprint admin: Digital maintenance of sprint activities and user stories in JIRA

Must-have Skills:
- 6+ years of experience as a BA/BSA, preferably within large Financial Institutions.
- 3+ years of experience on Agile projects
- Experience with Mobile and Online banking projects
- Proven ability to gather Business requirements and Systems requirements independently
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and gap analysis
- Demonstrated experience with user stories, business and systems specifications, business context diagrams and business process maps, use cases and user story maps
- Experience working on large projects.
- Recent Banking experience
- Excellent communication skills required; will be working with BU stakeholders and IT stakeholders
- Excellent collaboration skills, and highly adaptable
- Strong knowledge of Requirements methodology (planning, elicitation, documentation)
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
- Strong experience in both business and technical analysis, with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
- Experience in requirements elicitation techniques such as Document analysis, Interviews, Facilitated workshops, Observation, Prototyping, Focus groups, Surveys
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Previous Bank experience
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI – PBA)
- Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or similar.
- Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis
