EMEA Recruitment LTD is representing a client who is seeking a proactive and structured Finance Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated financial administration department in Zaandam. In this vital, full-time, on-site role, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and work alongside a supportive team of seven colleagues. This permanent position offers a brilliant balance of independent administrative ownership and cross-departmental collaboration, allowing you to act as a key connector between finance and our wider operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Management: Handle the accurate booking and processing of incoming invoices, manage incoming and outgoing payments, and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Ledger Administration: Maintain and update debtor and creditor master data while preparing comprehensive payment lists to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Data Analysis & Checking: Perform critical financial analyses and checks in Excel, specifically focusing on validating receipts processed via various payment organisations.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Service, and operations, to resolve payment queries and disputes efficiently.
- Team Support: Provide hands-on assistance to colleagues within the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions to ensure collective team goals are met.
Required Skills & Experience
- Analytical Expertise: Exceptional, advanced Microsoft Excel skills are critical for this role; you must be highly proficient with complex formulas (such as SUMIF and XLOOKUP) and pivot tables to analyse financial data.
- Financial Background: Proven experience working within Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable environments, supported by at least 3 years of relevant work experience in financial administration.
- Educational Foundation: A completed MBO education, preferably specialising in a financial direction.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are required, with the ability to communicate in Dutch considered a significant advantage.
- Personal Attributes: A highly accurate, structured, and organised working style, combined with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a reliable approach to handling confidential financial data.
Nice-to-Have
- Systems Familiarity: Prior experience working with large-scale ERP systems, with specific knowledge of Oracle ERP being a strong advantage.
