Compliance Administrator

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Administrator to support the Group’s compliance function across multiple recruitment brands. This role plays a key part in ensuring contracts, documentation, and compliance processes are accurate, consistent, and aligned with UK regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for processing new placement contracts, maintaining accurate data within the CRM system, and supporting the Group Compliance Manager on a range of compliance and risk-related projects. The role offers exposure beyond administration, including contract analysis, IR35 processes, audits, and risk identification, making commercial awareness and sound judgement important.

A successful Compliance Administrator will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced recruitment environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain dashboards and CRM systems, ensuring accurate data entry and timely follow-up on outstanding documentation
  • Prepare and manage candidate and client contracts, including extensions and finishers
  • Coordinate extension and finisher processes in collaboration with Sales Consultants
  • Support the Group Compliance Manager with new client onboardings
  • Manage and maintain standard contract templates, ensuring consistency and compliance across the Group
  • Liaise with recruitment consultants regarding contractor onboarding and assignment-related queries
  • Respond to contractor queries via email and telephone, escalating where appropriate
  • Provide administrative support to candidate screening and onboarding processes
  • Prepare compliance and operational reports for the Group
  • Manage day-to-day IR35 processes and respond to candidate and client IR35-related queries
  • Conduct regular compliance audits (e.g. quarterly umbrella company audits)
  • Identify and monitor potential compliance and business risks, escalating concerns and suggesting practical solutions
  • Undertake legal and compliance research as required
  • Provide ad-hoc project support across the compliance function

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience doing compliance in the UK
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies
  • Highly organised, methodical, and process-driven, with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Commercially aware, with an interest in risk and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to adapt to different situations
  • Analytical mindset and strong organisational capability
  • Curious and questioning, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a good sense of humour
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a compliance-focused role
  • Ability to follow instructions and work to established processes
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Preferred: Experience within the recruitment or staffing industry
