Are you a skilled motor claims professional who thrives on solving the complex puzzle of vehicle damage assessments and total loss negotiations? 360 Search is partnering with a highly respected, established insurance organisation to recruit a permanent, full-time Motor Damage Claims Handler in Dublin. Taking ownership of a diverse and busy portfolio, you will be the driving force behind fair, efficient, and empathetic claims journeys, balancing technical accuracy with exceptional customer care in a supportive, hybrid working environment.

In this pivotal role, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of motor damage claims, turning complex technical assessments into clear, reassuring outcomes for policyholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Portfolio Management: Proactively manage a diverse caseload of motor damage claims from first notification of loss (FNOL) through to final settlement.
  • Damage & Loss Assessment: Evaluate detailed vehicle damage reports to make accurate, cost-effective determinations on repair viability versus total loss (write-off) scenarios.
  • Technical Settlements: Handle complex vehicle write-off cases, including calculating market valuations, negotiating settlement figures, and managing salvage processes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate directly with automotive engineers, approved repair garages, policyholders, and third parties to ensure seamless claim progression.
  • Compliance & Accuracy: Maintain meticulous claim records, ensuring all decisions strictly align with policy terms, internal procedures, and Irish regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Motor Claims Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in dedicated Motor Claims Handling within the Irish or UK insurance market.
  • Technical Damage Evaluation: Deep, practical knowledge of vehicle damage assessment, repair methodologies, and total loss procedures.
  • Negotiation & Communication: Outstanding communication skills with a natural ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly and empathetically to customers.
  • Organisational Drive: Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple active claims simultaneously without compromising on detail.
  • Right to Work: Full professional working rights in Ireland (visa sponsorship is not available for this position).

Nice-to-Have

  • APA Qualification: An APA qualification in Personal Lines or Commercial Underwriting/Claims is highly important (or a commitment to completing your CIP).
  • Network Connections: Established experience collaborating with repairer networks and independent motor engineers.
