Accounting Manager (Public Accounting)

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a well-rounded background in public practice. This role will focus primarily on review and compilation engagements, along with personal and corporate taxes, working closely with clients across diverse industries to deliver quality service and insights that support their business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage review and compilation engagements for private companies and not-for-profit organizations
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, working papers, and supporting documentation
- Provide oversight on the completion of corporate, personal, trust, and charity tax filings
- Manage engagement timelines, budgets, and staff assignments to ensure quality and efficiency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and trusted advice
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members, providing ongoing feedback and coaching
- Contribute to staff training and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Participate in firm initiatives and practice development activities
Qualifications
- Designated CPA with experience in a public practice management role
- Strong technical knowledge of review and compilation engagements
- Experience with personal tax (T1) and corporate tax (T2) returns
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- High level of integrity and a commitment to exceptional client service
