Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electronic Test Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electronic components, sub-assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet our high-quality standards and performance specifications. This role is crucial in our product development lifecycle, providing critical feedback to design and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, operational, and environmental tests on electronic products and systems using standard and specialized test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic failures down to the component level, meticulously documenting findings and repair actions in our tracking systems.
- Set up and maintain test stations, including calibrating equipment and developing test procedures in collaboration with engineering staff.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential design or manufacturing issues, providing clear and concise reports to the engineering team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent military/trade school certification.
- Proven experience in testing and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits to the component level.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and test script development (e.g., LabVIEW, Python).
- IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) for soldering and assembly standards.
- Familiarity with RF (Radio Frequency) testing and principles.
