Head of Video - Live Events

Head of Video
Location: London/Hybrid | Live Events Agency | Salary: £75K

CoCo Group is proud to be partnering with a leading live events agency, one that blends the big-picture thinking of a creative studio with the razor-sharp execution of a production powerhouse, to find their next Head of Video.

This isn't a maintenance role. It's a chance to be the video authority for an agency trusted with some of the most ambitious, high-profile live events around. If you've spent your career mastering signal flow, LED walls, media servers and projection systems, and you're ready to shape strategy rather than just execute it, this is your next move.

Why this role stands out

You'll sit at the intersection of technical mastery and genuine influence. This isn't about someone to simply run the desk on show day, they want a leader who will:
- Own the discipline. Set the standards, the workflows, and the best practice that the whole video team works to.
- Shape the roadmap. Have real input into equipment purchasing, emerging platforms, and where the video capability goes next.
- Be trusted with the biggest stage. Step into the agency's highest-profile, highest-complexity projects as the senior technical voice in the room, with clients, venues, and suppliers alike.
- Build people, not just systems. Mentor Technical Project Managers and technicians, close skills gaps, and grow a team that can collaborate confidently across disciplines.
- Work with serious kit. Vectorworks and Braceworks, Pixera and Disguise, Barco Event Master, AVLine networking, Panasonic projection and Geometry Manager, if this list excites you rather than intimidates you, keep reading.

What our client is looking for

A genuine video systems expert, design, deployment and live operation, proven on large-scale, high-profile events
- Someone who can translate a creative brief into a technically robust, deliverable solution
- A confident communicator who holds their own with clients, creative directors, venues and crews
- A calm head under pressure, comfortable making the call when a show gets complicated
- A natural mentor who takes real satisfaction in developing the people around them
- A well-connected name in the live events and video industry

What you'll actually be doing
Leading technical strategy across pitches and projects. Reviewing system designs and signal flow before they hit the floor. Mentoring the next generation of video talent. Sitting in the planning meetings that matter. Walking site visits for the projects everyone's watching. And helping the business stay ahead of where video technology is heading next.

Why join
Because you'll be trusted, not micromanaged. Because the projects are big enough to matter and varied enough to stay interesting. Because our client talks about being collaborative and down-to-earth, and means it. And because this is a role built for someone who wants to leave a mark on how a whole discipline is run, not just on one show at a time.
