Alfa Demo Inc. is looking for an experienced, senior-level UX Designer to take ownership of our digital product design. Based on-site at our Chicago office, this full-time, permanent position places you at the heart of our design process. You will champion user-centred design principles, collaborating directly with teams to craft compelling interfaces, streamline user journeys, and elevate the overall product experience from initial concept through to final delivery. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end user experience design process, transforming complex requirements into elegant wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes.
- Establish clear information architecture and map out comprehensive user journeys to guide product strategy.
- Utilize Figma or Sketch to build high-fidelity interface designs, component libraries, and interactive prototypes.
- Plan and conduct user research, usability testing sessions, and user interviews to gather actionable insights.
- Collaborate closely with team members to translate research findings into tangible design enhancements and refined digital products.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of professional UX design experience, with a background functioning at a Senior UX Designer or Lead UX Designer level within digital product design.
- Mastery of core UI/UX design concepts, including wireframing, information architecture, interactive prototyping, and user-centered design methodologies.
- Advanced expertise in either Figma or Sketch, with deep experience in vector prototyping and building scalable component libraries.
- Practical experience leading user research, user interviews, persona development, and usability testing to validate design decisions.
- Proven ability to work full-time on-site in Chicago, United States (without requiring visa sponsorship).
Nice-to-have
- Experience creating, maintaining, and scaling comprehensive design systems, style guides, and design tokens.
- Practical background conducting heuristic evaluations to identify usability improvements.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles across multiple device formats.
