About the Company

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in London, our client is a dynamic and growing investment firm with a global presence. With a lean team of ~40 professionals, they operate across two core divisions: raising capital from international markets and providing lending solutions to UK and US businesses. This role is situated within the Investment Division, focusing on expanding their investor network.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our client's investment division. The ideal candidate will be a natural “hunter,” adept at sourcing and securing investment from High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and professional investors. You will leverage your existing network or build one from the ground up, playing a pivotal role in the company's expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, source, and onboard new investors (HNWIs, professional investors, family offices) to meet and exceed investment targets.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing investors, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach and meetings to closing investment deals, ensuring a seamless investor experience.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all sales activities, pipeline, and investor communications within the internal CRM system.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to refine business development strategies and contribute to the overall growth of the firm.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrable track record in a business development, fundraising, or investment sales role within the financial services sector (e.g., alternative investments, private equity, fixed income).
  • A proven “hunter” mentality with the ability to independently generate new business and build a robust investor pipeline from scratch.
  • Exceptional networking, communication, and relationship management skills, with the confidence to engage with sophisticated investors.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly autonomous, and comfortable working in a fully remote, target-driven environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • An existing, transferable network of HNWIs or professional investors.
  • Experience or knowledge in sectors such as Real Estate, Renewable Energy, or Mining.
  • Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., CISI Level 4 Diploma in Investment Advice).
