Chief Technology Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Define and Execute Tech Strategy: Architect a comprehensive, future-proof technology roadmap that supports Liverpool FC’s commercial growth, stadium operations at Anfield, and global fan-facing digital platforms.
• Modernize Infrastructure & Data Systems: Oversee the evolution of our cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems, and data analytics pipelines to ensure seamless, real-time insights for both business and athletic performance.
• Lead and Inspire Technical Teams: Mentor, scale, and lead a high-performing engineering, product, and IT support team, fostering a culture of excellence, agility, and continuous learning.
• Ensure Security & Compliance: Establish robust cybersecurity frameworks, data protection protocols, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard the club’s global intellectual property and fan data.
• Drive Vendor and Partner Alliances: Manage key strategic relationships with global technology partners, broadcasters, and vendors to ensure we are leveraging best-in-class external innovations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven Executive Leadership: Demonstrated success as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or high-level technology director within a fast-paced, high-growth global brand or entertainment enterprise.
• Scale and Architecture Expertise: Deep knowledge of modern cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), scalable web/mobile applications, data engineering, and agile methodologies.
• Strategic Business Alignment: A track record of translating complex technical concepts into clear, high-impact business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders and executive boards.
• Exceptional Team Builder: Strong leadership credentials with a proven ability to unite diverse, multidisciplinary technical teams under a shared vision.
• Data-Driven Decision Maker: Advanced understanding of data analytics, business intelligence, and emerging technologies (AI/ML) to drive customer acquisition and retention.
