As Head of Care at Alfa Demo Inc., you will act as the driving operational force behind our regulated social care provision, supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. This is a full-time, permanent position operating remotely with regular multi-site presence across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and West London. You will work closely alongside our Registered Managers, providing the visible leadership, regulatory oversight, and strategic balance necessary to deliver exceptional person-centred support while maintaining solid operational sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible, hands-on operational leadership to Registered Managers across our multi-site residential and supported living services.
- Oversee rigorous regulatory compliance, ensuring all provision continuously meets and exceeds CQC standards and local authority quality monitoring expectations.
- Maintain a healthy balance between high-quality support outcomes and commercial viability, managing service budgets and operational resource allocation.
- Champion a positive, transparent culture across regional teams through routine on-site engagement, coaching, and proactive quality assurance reviews.
- Conduct regular site visits across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and West London to uphold consistent safeguarding and operational standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Substantial senior operational leadership experience within regulated social care, including direct accountability for managing Registered Managers across multiple sites.
- Deep practical knowledge of CQC regulations, statutory compliance requirements, and local authority quality frameworks.
- Proven background in specialist social care supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operational budgets and align high-standard care delivery with commercial sustainability.
- Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle and the mobility to travel across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and West London.

Nice-to-have
- Experience mobilising new care services, expanding contracts, or handling commissioner onboarding.
- A clinical background as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- Familiarity with Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding streams and delivering complex health packages.
- Prior appointment or experience acting as a CQC Nominated Individual.
- Working knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), the Transforming Care agenda, and restraint reduction strategies.
- Practical experience using Radar Healthcare quality and incident management software.
