Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive & Robotics Technician to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of advanced robotic systems and autonomous vehicle hardware. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge automotive technology and robotics, ensuring our systems operate at peak performance and reliability. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced R&D and production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex assembly, integration, and calibration of robotic systems, sensors (LiDAR, cameras, radar), and control units onto automotive platforms.
  • Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on both mechanical and electrical systems to identify root causes of failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Execute preventative maintenance schedules and system health checks on our fleet of autonomous vehicles and robotic equipment to ensure maximum uptime and safety.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on design for manufacturability (DFM), serviceability, and system performance improvements.
  • Maintain detailed service records, document procedures, and manage inventory of spare parts and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an automotive technician, mechatronics technician, or in a similar hands-on technical role.
  • Strong proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with experience in vehicle assembly/disassembly and component integration.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with robotics, CAN bus, or autonomous vehicle systems.
  • Familiarity with Linux command line and basic scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Vocational degree or technical certification in Automotive Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
