Data Centre Design and ConstructionGPU Infrastructure DeploymentMEP Systems Engineering

Role Overview

We are seeking a high-calibre Chief Infrastructure Officer to lead the design, delivery, and build of a next-generation AI infrastructure platform. This is not a traditional cloud or data centre role; we are creating a vertically integrated system that merges power, data centre environments, and GPU clusters at industrial scale.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused leadership position for an individual who has personally led the delivery of complex infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for the transition from initial colocation deployments to purpose-built, multi-site AI infrastructure, ensuring our reference designs remain at the cutting edge of evolving GPU platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deployment & Execution: Lead the physical deployment of high-density GPU clusters into colocation facilities and oversee the transition to proprietary, purpose-built environments.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Manage and challenge third-party delivery partners, EPC partners, OEMs, and the critical supply chain to ensure pace and quality.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Own the entire lifecycle across design, construction, and commissioning, maintaining a clear bias for execution over advisory functions.
  • Strategic Design: Define and maintain the reference design for AI infrastructure, ensuring tight alignment with the latest high-performance compute and GPU hardware developments.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performance delivery organisation capable of scaling across multiple sites internationally.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven track record of delivering hyperscale or large-scale data centre infrastructure from the ground up.
  • Deep technical expertise in power, cooling, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems within high-density environments.
  • Extensive experience managing complex delivery programmes, contractors, and international supply chains.
  • A background in High-Performance Computing (HPC), AI/GPU platforms, or hyperscale cloud infrastructure.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with vertically integrated infrastructure models.
  • Direct experience with liquid cooling technologies and advanced thermal management for AI workloads.
  • Established relationships with global energy providers and industrial EPC firms.
