Safety Specialist (Construction / Industrial)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to join our top-performing project team in Indianapolis. Reporting to an industry expert, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment across our construction and industrial sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional or a recent graduate to build a career in health and safety, interacting regularly with project managers, craft supervisors, and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular on-site safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and craft supervisors to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to company safety protocols and legislative requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of safety reports and documentation for company operations leaders.
• Support the delivery of safety training and inductions for site personnel.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of safety experience within a construction, industrial, or manufacturing environment (internship experience considered for recent graduates).
• Strong understanding of site safety practices and hazard recognition.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse project teams.
• Must be able to work on-site in Indianapolis, IN.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Safety-related field.
• Certifications such as OSHA 510, OSHA 10, or NCCR.
