Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Data Analyst - Spanish, SQL, Python/R, for a strategic contract position based in Toronto. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between complex data environments and business-driven insights. You will be responsible for leading data discovery initiatives, performing deep-dive exploratory data analysis (EDA), and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across various departments to deliver data-driven solutions that inform strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Discovery & Exploration: Identify, collect, and assess internal and external datasets to support business objectives, ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous cleansing and preprocessing.
  • SME Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional departments (Finance, Marketing, Operations) to gather insights, facilitate workshops, and translate complex feedback into technical data requirements.
  • Analysis & Reporting: Design and maintain sophisticated dashboards and visualisations using Tableau or Power BI, performing statistical modelling to derive actionable insights.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline data discovery processes, document methodologies for knowledge sharing, and contribute to the advancement of data governance best practices.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 5 - 7(max) years of experience in data analysis, data mapping, and data modelling.

• Proven track record of working with SMEs to deliver data-driven solutions.

• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.

• Experience with Python, R, or similar for data analysis and visualization, such as BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for reporting and dashboard creation.

•Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Spanish-speaking candidates mandatory

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, pipelines and ETL processes.

• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques or machine learning fundamentals.

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Soft Skills Required:

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with non-technical SMEs.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.

•A Master’s degree is considered an asset.
