Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Tutor to provide personalized instruction to students of various ages and proficiency levels. The ideal candidate will be an expert in English language and literature, capable of creating engaging lesson plans and fostering a positive and effective learning environment. You will be responsible for assessing student needs, tracking progress, and adapting teaching methods to help students achieve their academic and personal language goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver customized lesson plans that cater to the individual needs, goals, and learning styles of each student.
  • Assess students' proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and provide constructive feedback and regular progress reports.
  • Prepare students for standardized tests (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, GCSE, A-Level) by teaching test-taking strategies and covering relevant subject matter.
  • Foster a supportive and motivating learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and builds confidence in their English language abilities.
  • Communicate effectively with students (and parents/guardians, if applicable) regarding progress, challenges, and scheduling.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an English Tutor or Teacher.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, PGCE).
  • Experience with online teaching platforms and digital educational tools.
  • Familiarity with various English language curricula and examination boards.
