Head of Growth & Social Media (Culture Marketing Agency)

Salary: £80,000 - £95,000 (DOE) + Benefits Culture Marketing Agency | London

I'm currently partnering exclusively with an award-winning culture-led creative communications agency to find a Head of Social Media & Growth.

This is not a traditional social leadership role.

It's a rare opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of an established social offering and play a pivotal role in shaping what it becomes over the next several years. The agency already has an impressive client roster, a strong reputation within culture marketing, and an integrated team spanning creative, content, PR, influencer, events and production. What they're looking for now is a commercially-minded social leader who can elevate the agency's social proposition, grow its profile in the market and help unlock the next phase of growth.

For the right person, this is a genuine opportunity to build something.

You'll inherit strong foundations, but you'll have significant influence over the direction, positioning and growth of the social division. You'll be equally comfortable discussing creative ideas, social strategy and content production as you are identifying commercial opportunities, developing senior client relationships and helping shape the agency's future.

If you're someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys building teams and capabilities, and is motivated by creating long-term impact rather than simply managing accounts, this role will be particularly exciting.

The Opportunity

You'll sit within the agency's leadership team and be responsible for leading and growing the social media offering across both existing and prospective clients.

Key areas of focus include:

Leading Client Relationships

Acting as a senior strategic partner to clients, building trusted long-term relationships. Driving social-first thinking across integrated campaigns. Identifying opportunities to expand and deepen existing client partnerships. Ensuring the agency continues to deliver standout social and content work that drives measurable impact.

Growing the Social Division

Developing and evolving the agency's social proposition. Identifying new commercial opportunities and helping convert them into long-term client relationships. Working closely with leadership to create and execute a growth strategy for the division. Leading social and integrated pitch processes. Building awareness of the agency's social capabilities within the market.

Creative & Production Leadership

Partnering with creative and production teams to deliver best-in-class social-first campaigns and content. Championing innovation across content, platforms, creators and emerging cultural trends. Helping shape the agency's reputation as a destination for ambitious social and cultural work. Inspiring teams to continually raise the creative standard of what the agency delivers.

Strategic & Commercial Ownership

Taking responsibility for the performance and growth of the social offering. Forecasting revenue opportunities and supporting business planning. Ensuring projects are commercially successful and delivered efficiently. Contributing to broader agency growth initiatives as part of the leadership team.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strategic social expertise with commercial ambition. You might currently be a Social Director, Business Director, Head of Social, Client Services Director or Growth Lead within a social, creative, integrated or culture-focused agency.

You'll likely bring:

A deep understanding of social-first marketing, content and digital culture. Experience leading integrated campaigns across social, content, influencer, PR and/or experiential. Strong commercial instincts and a genuine interest in growing agency revenue and relationships. A proven ability to build trusted partnerships with senior clients. Experience contributing to or leading successful new business pitches. A passion for culture and understanding how brands can authentically connect with communities and audiences. The ambition to build, lead and shape something over the long term. For someone who loves social-first creativity but is equally motivated by building relationships, influencing agency direction and creating long-term growth, this represents a genuinely exciting career opportunity.

What's On Offer

Competitive salary package. Hybrid working with flexibility between home and a central London office. Progressive holiday allowance. Home office support. Phone contribution. Cycle-to-work scheme. A highly collaborative, entrepreneurial culture. The opportunity to play a defining role in the future growth of an established agency.
