Alfa Demo Inc. is looking for an exceptional Group PMO Director to establish and drive strategic portfolio governance across the business. Operating in a permanent, full-time hybrid setup based in the United Kingdom, you will take ownership of enterprise-wide delivery standards, translating overarching organizational vision into clear, actionable, and value-driven project portfolios. In this pivotal role, you will champion delivery excellence, foster an environment of continuous learning and growth, and align cross-functional initiatives directly with executive priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and mature the Group PMO framework, establishing robust governance, reporting structures, and standard delivery methodologies across the enterprise.
- Lead strategic portfolio management (PPM) processes, overseeing prioritization, capacity planning, and resource allocation to ensure optimal return on investment and benefits realization.
- Facilitate executive steering committees and deliver high-impact, transparent portfolio reporting directly to C-level stakeholders and the board.
- Design and embed stage-gate frameworks and KPI tracking mechanisms to measure performance, mitigate portfolio-level risks, and maintain delivery quality.
- Foster a culture of delivery excellence, mentoring project and program professionals across teams to elevate organisational capability and project management maturity.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven executive track record of Enterprise or Group PMO leadership, including hands-on experience setting up, scaling, and governing multi-faceted PMO functions.
- Extensive expertise in project portfolio management, strategic planning, resource optimization, and post-implementation benefits realization.
- Deep knowledge of modern governance frameworks and methodologies, such as Prince2, PMP, MSP, and Agile transformations.
- Exceptional executive stakeholder management capabilities, with demonstrated success leading steerco discussions and influencing C-suite decision-makers.
- Strong commitment to team development, continuous operational improvement, and cultivating best-in-class project delivery practices.
Nice-to-have
- Hands-on exposure to managing large-scale business transformation, complex change delivery, and substantial program budgets.
- Familiarity with the German market, DACH business context, or professional bilingual communication skills in German and English.
