Alfa Demo Inc. is looking for a dedicated Paraplanner to join our Manchester-based team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will play an integral part in the advice delivery process, working in a hybrid setup to turn complex financial data into clear, bespoke solutions for clients. You will provide vital technical support across wealth management and IFA operations, helping ensure that every client recommendation is backed by thorough research and robust analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive, compliant, and bespoke suitability reports covering a broad spectrum of financial planning strategies.
- Conduct detailed whole-of-market product, fund, and provider research to identify suitable solutions for clients.
- Perform technical analysis, replacement analysis, and cash flow modelling to support client financial plans.
- Collaborate closely with advisers to review client files, evaluate objectives, and formulate coherent financial planning strategies.
- Ensure all technical documentation accurately reflects current regulatory requirements across retirement planning, investments, and protection.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience working as a Paraplanner or technical financial planning support specialist within an IFA or wealth management environment.
- Strong suitability report writing skills, with the ability to produce detailed, client-friendly recommendation documents.
- Solid technical understanding of pensions, SIPPs, ISAs, general investments, protection products, and estate planning.
- Demonstrable experience in whole-of-market research, fund analysis, and cash flow modelling.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and communication skills.
- Existing right to work in the United Kingdom, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Nice-to-have
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS / CII / CISI) or actively working towards completion.
- Practical experience using financial planning software and back-office platforms such as Intelligent Office, Xplan, Voyant, Defaqto, or FE Analytics.
