Job Title: Commercial Administrator

Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) Reports to: Commercial Director Responsible for: Supporting the Commercial Team Date: October 2025

 

Main Purpose of the Role

As a Commercial Administrator, you will support the Commercial Team by undertaking day-to-day administrative duties. This includes adding contracts to the company database, organising documentation, managing drawing registers, and learning about the commercial aspects of the business.

 

Key Activities

Drawing Management:

  • Set up and manage the Drawing Register from Tender Issue to Construction Issue.
  • Support with spreadsheets and schedules.
  • Respond to enquiries quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure the drawing register is always up to date.
  • Maintain and update drawings as appropriate.

Drawing Control:

  • Copying, scanning, and producing issue sheets when required.
  • Maintain and update links to drawing files.
  • Send revised drawings to all relevant parties.
  • Undertake comparisons of revised information.
  • Input data into spreadsheets for analysis.
  • Update and maintain records and associated tasks within the Commercial Department.

  • Provide efficient and accurate support to the Commercial Team in drawing administration and management.

Qualifications:

  • Not required.

Experience (Essential):

  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills.

Experience (Desirable):

  • Previous administration experience within a construction environment.
  • Document control experience.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong organisational and planning ability.
  • Good relationship-building skills.
  • Sound knowledge of construction (desirable).
