In this role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to design, execute, and automate robust test suites. Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution: Design, write, and execute detailed, comprehensive test cases and test plans covering both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution, collaborating closely with developers to reproduce and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Regression & Release Testing: Conduct thorough regression testing cycles prior to major product releases to ensure existing functionalities remain unimpaired.
- Automation Integration: Identify opportunities for test automation, converting manual test scripts into reliable automated test runs within our continuous integration pipeline.
- Collaboration & Quality Advocacy: Participate in sprint planning and grooming sessions, advocating for quality standards and testability from the very start of the development cycle.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven QA Experience: At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience working as a QA Test Engineer, Quality Analyst, or in a similar software testing role.
- Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (including Agile/Scrum workflows).
- API Testing: Demonstrated experience testing APIs and web services using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Database Querying: Proficiency in writing basic SQL queries to perform database validation and backend data verification.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills with a natural curiosity and a sharp eye for edge cases and UI inconsistencies.
Nice-to-Have
- Test Automation: Basic experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright using JavaScript or Python.
- CI/CD Familiarity: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Performance Testing: Understanding of performance and load testing concepts using tools like JMeter.
