Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Subsea Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of engineers, overseeing the design, procurement, and installation of subsea construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of complex offshore projects, including pipelines, umbilicals, protection structures, and offshore renewables infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of subsea engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, safety, and collaboration.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from concept and FEED through to detailed design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Act as the primary technical authority for subsea engineering matters, providing expert guidance to the project team, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring all engineering activities are completed within agreed parameters and to the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry codes, standards (e.g., DNV, API), and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering).
  • Proven experience in an Engineering Management or Lead Engineering role within the subsea construction industry.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of subsea hardware, including pipelines, umbilicals, and subsea structures.
  • Demonstrable experience managing engineering teams and delivering large-scale offshore projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, commercial awareness, and contract management.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional accreditation.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with offshore wind projects, including foundation design, cable laying, and installation.
  • Familiarity with SURF (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines) package management.
  • Advanced knowledge of offshore installation vessels and methodologies.
