About Zapp

Zapp is London’s leading premium convenience retail platform. Founded in 2020, our vision is to disrupt the multi-trillion dollar convenience retail market by developing best-in-class customer-centric technology and fulfilment solutions. We partner with some of the world’s leading brands to deliver an exclusive range of hand-picked products 24/7, delivered in minutes.

The Role

We are seeking a visionary Category Manager to lead our Non-Food department, specifically focusing on our Home & Lifestyle, Health & Wellness, and Bath & Beauty categories. You will be the commercial engine behind this division, transforming how Londoners shop for everything from daily essentials to luxury treats. This role operates at the intersection of high-end curation and hyper-growth logistics, ensuring our "virtual shelves" are always stocked with the right products, delivered in minutes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curate an innovative, trending, and relevant product range, building and sustaining strong supplier relationships while driving efficiencies across the supply base.
  • Own the end-to-end supplier negotiation process, covering cost, delivery, and payment terms to maximise profitability and minimise risk.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and market trend analysis to spearhead category growth, providing the analytical backbone for strategic decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Product, and Partnerships to create a cohesive and compelling customer offering.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a category management or buying role, ideally within the Non-Food sector (e.g., Home, Lifestyle, Beauty, Wellness).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with confidence in building business cases and extracting actionable insights from data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) or Microsoft Excel.
  • A tenacious, high-energy self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Looker or Tableau.
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup, e-commerce, or q-commerce environment.
