Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform – from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.

About The Role
Hiring sits at the centre of Volta's growth. As our Ashby Systems Administrator, you will take full ownership of the Ashby environment behind every hire we make, supporting the teams building our AI factories across Europe and North America and the functions growing alongside them.

This is a technical role focused on the back end of talent acquisition. You will design the workflows, integrations, permissions and reporting that our Talent Partners, hiring managers and leadership rely on every day, and make sure the platform keeps pace as we scale into the hundreds.

You will be the go-to Ashby expert in the business. Your configuration choices will have an immediate, visible impact on hiring speed, the consistency of the candidate experience and the quality of the data leadership uses to plan growth.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own the day-to-day administration of Ashby, including settings, user access and permissions
  • Design and build interview plans, approval chains, scorecards and automated recruiting workflows
  • Configure candidate journeys that give every applicant a consistent, well-run experience
  • Build custom dashboards, metrics and reporting models that give hiring managers and leadership clear, actionable insight
  • Set up, monitor and troubleshoot third-party integrations, including HRIS and business intelligence tools
  • Maintain system architecture, data standards and data integrity as hiring volumes grow
  • Translate changing hiring requirements into practical platform configurations
  • Create training and documentation for hiring managers, interviewers and Talent Partners
  • Act as the first point of contact for Ashby troubleshooting and ongoing optimisation

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience as a dedicated Ashby administrator, having built and configured the platform yourself as its owner
  • Deep technical knowledge of Ashby workflows, automations, custom fields, permissions and native reporting
  • A track record of configuring complex scorecards, approval chains and candidate journey automations in Ashby
  • Experience managing system integrations and maintaining structured data standards in a fast-scaling company
  • Strong independent problem-solving, with the ability to turn evolving requirements into working configurations
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical users
  • Experience scaling recruitment systems across multiple countries, and integrating Ashby with HRIS and BI platforms, would be a strong advantage
