Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, programming, and testing of control systems for our state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient automation solutions, driving our production capabilities forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, troubleshoot, develop, and test Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for various control systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand interface requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Develop and design detailed electrical schematics for control systems, selecting appropriate electronic components and ensuring project specifications are met.
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for moderate complexity projects, providing technical guidance to staff during assembly and integration.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and execution, presenting regular updates and progress reports to ensure milestones are achieved on time.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a PLC programming or manufacturing engineering role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in PLC programming with platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, or Modicon.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages including Structured Text, Ladder Logic, and/or Function Block Diagram.
- Experience designing electrical schematics for control systems.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with HMI/SCADA development (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
