Portfolio Monitoring Specialist - Private Equity Secondaries (Manager Level) - 12m Contract

Day Rate: £600–£750 per day
Overview
A leading private equity firm is embarking on a major initiative to strengthen its portfolio monitoring framework, with a particular emphasis on Private Equity Secondaries. To support this project, the firm is seeking a Portfolio Monitoring Subject Matter Expert who has excellent experience & knowledge of PE Secondaries/Continuation Funds and exposure to eFront would be a big bonus.
The specialist will play a central role in shaping the design, implementation, and ongoing use of eFront’s portfolio monitoring suite, while also redefining operational processes to meet the demands of a fast-growing private markets business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development of the firm’s monitoring framework for Secondaries in eFront, ensuring it is fit for purpose for semi-liquid strategies
- Guide the roll-out of eFront as the chosen portfolio monitoring platform, ensuring it integrates effectively with existing systems and workflows
- Redesign processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and data quality
- Translate business needs into clear valuation, accounting, and reporting requirements
- Act as a bridge across Finance, Operations, Technology, and Investment teams, ensuring data accuracy and process consistency
- Establish governance models, policies, and controls to underpin sustainable monitoring practices
- Contribute to testing, validation, and readiness activities to ensure smooth implementation
- Share expertise with internal teams, providing coaching and support to strengthen overall monitoring capability
What You’ll Bring
- Must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA, ACMA, CPA)
- Deep technical expertise in portfolio monitoring and fund accounting within Private Equity
- Strong background in Private Equity Secondaries
- Knowledge of eFront preferable
- Exposure to semi-liquid valuations a bonus
*Only candidates who are qualified accountants and who have recently worked in portfolio monitoring for PE secondaries will be considered for this role.
