Senior Facade Consultant

Help make higher-risk buildings safer. We are looking for a Senior Facade Consultant based around London to lead external wall assessments, oversee facade construction and guide clients through fire safety and remediation decisions.

The role

You will bring deep technical knowledge of facade systems and fire safety to a varied portfolio of buildings, many of them 18 metres or seven storeys and above. You will assess existing external walls, inspect facades under construction and produce clear, defensible reports that clients and regulators can rely on.

What you will do

• Undertake Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEWs) in accordance with PAS 9980
• Assess external wall systems and inspect facade construction and installation works
• Carry out construction inspections and provide facade construction oversight on site
• Review design, engineering and construction documentation
• Advise on facade fire behaviour, material performance and remedial design principles
• Support clients through Building Safety Regulator Gateway processes and Golden Thread requirements
• Write clear, well-organised technical reports

What you will bring

• A minimum of five years' experience within consultancy or engineering
• At least three years' experience assessing external wall systems, inspecting facade construction or overseeing facade installation works
• Demonstrable experience undertaking FRAEWs in accordance with PAS 9980
• Strong technical knowledge of facade systems, fire safety measures and building design principles
• Experience carrying out construction inspections and facade construction oversight
• Experience reviewing design, engineering and construction documentation
• Knowledge of facade fire behaviour, material performance and remedial design principles
• Experience working with high-risk buildings of 18 metres or seven storeys and above
• Knowledge of Building Safety Regulator Gateway processes and Golden Thread requirements
• Excellent report-writing and organisational skills
• A full UK driving licence
