An external and internal refurbishment contractor based in North-East London is looking for an Estimator. Most of their work is within the M25 area, particularly in West London.
Location: Office & Site based
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 per annum | Any travel from the office to site is reimbursed
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the estimating process and the preparation of tenders.
- Review project plans and specifications to provide accurate estimates for construction labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Identify any potential risks or issues that may impact the project cost, schedule, or quality, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements, answer questions, and negotiate terms.
- Maintain accurate records of all tender documents, correspondence, and other relevant information.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Attend meetings.
- Report to directors.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as an estimator.
- Experience in internal and external refurbishment and fit-out projects, from steelwork to finishes, including brick/stone restoration, roofing, and window repairs.
