The Opportunity

Our client is a four-and-a-half year old STEM recruitment agency based in the UK with a tight team of eight and a strong engineering delivery pedigree. They focus on technology, engineering, electronics, and firmware, placing specialist candidates across the UK with a growing roster of clients.

The engineering desk is busy. The pipeline is healthy, and right now there's more work than there are people to do it. They're looking for a delivery specialist who can take roles from brief to shortlist and get on with it.

The workload is real: two to five new roles a week, a shortlist of five qualified CVs within seven days, and a first profile on the client's desk within 24 hours. If you're someone who genuinely loves the delivery side of recruitment and gets energy from placing great candidates and keeping clients engaged, this one's for you.

What You'll Do

Source, qualify, and present engineering candidates (embedded software, firmware, hardware, electronics) against active client briefs

Deliver a shortlist of five qualified CVs per role within seven days, with the first profile on the client's desk within 24 hours

Manage candidate communication throughout the process, from initial outreach through to offer stage

Book and coordinate interviews, handle logistics, and keep the client updated on search progress

Contribute to the sales pipeline by surfacing leads and relevant candidates from your delivery conversations

Use LinkedIn Recruiter, SourceBreaker, CRM (RecruiterFlow), and job boards to run structured, targeted searches

What We're Looking For

Essential

2+ years of recruitment delivery experience in a STEM, engineering, or technology agency

Demonstrable track record placing technical profiles (embedded software, firmware, hardware, electronics, or closely adjacent)

Strong written and verbal English, comfortable engaging senior engineering professionals

Able to work independently and manage a pipeline of four to six active roles simultaneously

Prior experience recruiting for the UK or US market

Advantageous

Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, SourceBreaker, or similar ATS/CRM platforms

Commercial awareness and willingness to surface leads as part of a delivery role

High phone-time working style, average two-plus hours per day on calls with candidates and clients

Any genuine interest in engineering, electronics, or technology

Comfortable in a small, high-trust team where results matter more than process

Compensation & commission

Base salary: R30,000 - R39,000/pm

Commission: Scaling/tiered structure in £

Working pattern

Remote from South Africa.

Core hours: 08:30 to 17:00 UK time, aligned with European clients.
