Solutions Architect - Platform Services

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect with 18+ years of experience to lead the architectural design and implementation of modern, enterprise-grade platform services. This is a high-impact 'player-coach' role (60% architecture, 40% hands-on) focused on building scalable, HIPAA-compliant, cloud-native services on AWS. You will be instrumental in designing event-driven patterns, complex multi-party relationship models, and high-volume data ingestion pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Lead the design of Digital Product Profiles frameworks supporting complex multi-party relationships with extensible data models.
• Solution Design & Integration: Create technical design documents, API contracts, and integration patterns for MessageGears, AWS Pinpoint, and Facets claims systems.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all architectural designs meet HIPAA, SOC2, and internal security standards, including encryption and least-privilege access patterns.
• Technical Execution: Build rapid prototypes/PoCs and provide technical guidance through code reviews and mentorship for senior and mid-level engineers.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the primary technical liaison between Platform Services, Digital Products, Security, and external vendors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture.
• Hands-on expertise in Go, Python, or Node.js microservices.
• Deep knowledge of AWS Serverless, Container platforms (Kubernetes), and Terraform (IaC).
• Proven experience with Event-Driven Architecture and API Gateway patterns.
• Strong background in HIPAA-compliant system design and data security.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Facets claims systems or healthcare data.
• Legacy Java/Spring Boot knowledge.
• AWS Professional level certifications.
