As we enter an ambitious phase of growth and transformation, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset. To support our long-term strategic objectives, we are seeking a visionary Non-Executive Director with a deep specialism in the recruitment and talent acquisition landscape to join our Board.

Role Overview and Purpose

The Non-Executive Director (NED) will provide independent oversight, constructive challenge, and strategic guidance to the Board of Directors. With a specific focus on recruitment and human capital, the successful candidate will help shape our talent strategy, ensuring we attract, retain, and develop the best talent in the industry.

This role is pivotal in ensuring our recruitment processes are robust, inclusive, and aligned with our commercial goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Oversight: Provide high-level advice on the development and implementation of a sustainable, long-term recruitment and talent management strategy.
  • Constructive Challenge: Scrutinise the performance of the executive team in meeting agreed goals and monitor the reporting of performance across recruitment functions.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure the organisation adheres to the highest standards of recruitment ethics, employment law, and diversity and inclusion practices.
  • Talent Advocacy: Advise on employer branding strategies to position the organisation as an employer of choice within a competitive marketplace.
  • Succession Planning: Assist the Board in overseeing senior-level succession planning and the identification of future leadership needs.
  • Networking and Growth: Leverage personal and professional networks to identify strategic partnership opportunities and enhance the organisation’s reputation.
  • Remuneration Advice: Provide input into the Remuneration Committee regarding market-aligned compensation structures and incentive programmes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven Leadership: A distinguished career at a senior executive or Board level, specifically within the recruitment, executive search, or HR sectors.
  • Strategic Vision: The ability to think long-term and contribute to the broader commercial strategy beyond the recruitment function.
  • Analytical Excellence: Strong capability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and provide evidence-based recommendations to the Board.
  • Communication and Influence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and foster a culture of openness and debate.
  • Integrity and Independence: A commitment to the highest standards of integrity and the ability to provide an independent perspective, free from operational bias.
  • DE&I Champion: A passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a proven track record of implementing inclusive recruitment practices.
  • Governance Experience: Previous experience as a Non-Executive Director or a deep understanding of the UK Corporate Governance Code is highly desirable.

What We Offer

  • A collaborative and professional Board environment.
  • A competitive annual honorarium and travel expenses.
  • The chance to contribute to a mission-driven culture that values people and innovation.
