As our CTO, you will lead a world-class technology team, transforming how millions of fans experience the Reds and ensuring our off-pitch innovation matches our on-pitch excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Technology Roadmap: Design and execute a comprehensive, long-term IT and digital strategy that aligns with Liverpool FC’s commercial, footballing, and operational objectives.
Fan Experience & Digital Platforms: Oversee the development and scaling of our global digital products, ensuring a seamless, secure, and deeply engaging experience for our worldwide fanbase across web, app, and emerging platforms.
Data & Infrastructure Modernisation: Drive the evolution of our cloud infrastructure, data analytics capabilities, and enterprise systems to support elite-level sports science and business intelligence.
Security & Compliance: Establish robust cybersecurity frameworks, data protection protocols, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard the club’s sensitive IP, athlete data, and supporter information.
High-Performing Team Leadership: Mentor, inspire, and grow a diverse team of engineers, developers, and IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

Executive Tech Leadership: Proven track role as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent senior technology leader within a high-growth, consumer-facing, or global brand.
Enterprise Architecture & Cloud: Deep technical expertise in modern cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), scalable system design, and managing complex legacy-to-cloud migrations.
Agile Product Delivery: Strong experience leading agile product development cycles, with a track record of launching high-traffic digital products to millions of active users.
Strategic Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business strategies for board-level stakeholders.
Security-First Mindset: Up-to-date knowledge of global data privacy regulations (such as GDPR) and modern cybersecurity best practices.
