From dialling in the morning espresso to steaming velvety milk and welcoming the daily rush, great coffee is all about precision, care, and connection. Alfa Demo Inc. is looking for a passionate, full-time Barista to join our team on-site in London on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will be the front-facing energy of our bar, delivering high-quality specialty coffee and exceptional hospitality to every guest who walks through the door. Working directly on the floor, you will balance craft with efficiency, ensuring each beverage meets exacting standards while keeping the service smooth, warm, and attentive. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a full range of espresso-based and specialty coffee beverages, dialling in grinders and adjusting extraction throughout service.
- Welcome guests, take orders accurately at the front of house, and deliver prompt, friendly customer service.
- Operate the POS system, process cash and card payments responsibly, and manage till opening and closing routines.
- Monitor order flow and queue management during peak periods to maintain a seamless guest journey.
- Maintain clean workstations, adhere strictly to food hygiene standards, and complete thorough clean-down routines at the end of each shift.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in espresso and coffee preparation, including espresso extraction, grinder calibration, and milk steaming.
- Proven background in front-of-house hospitality, delivering proactive and friendly customer service in a busy retail or café setting.
- Solid working knowledge of POS systems, card terminals, and careful cash handling procedures.
- Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene protocols, workstation sanitisation, and safe food handling practices.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in London across full-time shift schedules.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with latte art, including microfoam texturing and free-pour pattern designs.
- Familiarity with manual brewing methods, including pour-over techniques.
