Slash Staffing is seeking a dedicated, process-driven Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations in a permanent, full-time, fully remote role based in the Philippines. Working directly inside UKG / Pay Pro, you will take ownership of the gross-to-net cycle, resolve payroll queries, and maintain clean, auditable records. This is a hands-on, precision-oriented payroll role focused on operational rigor, statutory compliance, and reliable execution rather than high-level HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute accurate, timely, full-cycle payroll runs using UKG / Pay Pro, including standard cycles, off-cycle payments, retro pay, and manual adjustments.
- Audit and reconcile timesheets, work hours, wage rates, deductions, and approval workflows prior to finalizing each pay period.
- Manage the dedicated payroll inbox, providing clear, helpful, and professional answers to employee pay inquiries and resolving discrepancies quickly.
- Uphold strict payroll compliance, internal controls, and accurate recordkeeping in accordance with wage, hour, and payroll tax regulations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal HR and accounting teams to keep employee data current and support standard reconciliations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Substantial hands-on experience processing payroll end-to-end using UKG / Pay Pro (UltiPro / UKG Pro).
- Comprehensive understanding of gross-to-net calculations, payroll deductions, retro adjustments, and statutory payroll tax rules.
- Practical background working with time and attendance systems, timesheet validation, and supervisor approval processes.
- Proven track record of managing a high-volume payroll inbox with strong written communication and prompt ticket resolution.
- Exceptional organizational habits, sharp attention to detail, and comfort managing recurring, deadline-critical cycles independently.
- Full work authorization in the Philippines (visa sponsorship is not available).
Nice-to-have
- Prior experience navigating multi-state or multi-location payroll operations and local tax withholdings.
- Practical familiarity assisting with internal payroll reporting, regular reconciliations, or external audit requests.
