Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Relationship Manager III to join a thriving community bank in the Metro Atlanta area. This role is pivotal for driving the growth of our commercial loan and deposit portfolios by sourcing, developing, and managing relationships with middle-market clients ($10MM–$100MM in revenue). The ideal candidate is a proactive 'hunter' with a proven track record in business development, dedicated to delivering comprehensive C&I, CRE, and treasury solutions. This is an individual contributor role with a clear path to grow into a Market Leader position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and develop new commercial client relationships through strategic business development, networking, and leveraging centers of influence (COIs) to build a robust pipeline.
  • Achieve and exceed annual production goals, including originating $20MM+ in new commercial loans (C&I, CRE, SBA) and generating $5-8MM in new deposit growth.
  • Structure, underwrite, and negotiate complex commercial credit facilities, ensuring alignment with the bank's risk appetite and credit policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of commercial clients, deepening relationships by cross-selling treasury management, deposit, and other banking services.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal partners, including credit analysts, underwriters, treasury management, and compliance teams, to ensure a seamless and positive client experience from prospecting to closing and ongoing management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of direct experience in commercial banking or relationship management.
  • Demonstrated history of consistently meeting or exceeding annual production goals of $20MM+ in C&I and/or CRE loans.
  • Deep expertise in commercial credit analysis, risk assessment, and complex deal structuring.
  • Established professional network and deep market knowledge within the Metro Atlanta or greater Georgia area.
  • A 'hunter' mentality with proven success in new business development and client acquisition from scratch.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Formal credit training or certification.
  • Experience with SBA 7(a) and 504 loan programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
