Content Designer

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Work within their squad (Interaction Designer, Visual Designer, Design Research and Manager), to research and identify the client’s problem
  • Create and evaluate potential solutions
  • Create, test and translate the content
  • Support their cross-functional partners: product managers, project managers, business analysts, developers and quality assurance teams while designing and building the solution
  • Some content translation from English to French
  • Supporting two squads

What program/technology/software knowledge is essential for this role? Describe in what capacity the selected candidate will be using it:

  • Figma will be used the majority of the time, we also use Confluence, Mural and Keynote.

Must-have Skills/Experiences and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:

  • Content experience in digital product (UX writing)
  • Demonstrated ability to edit to the main client message
  • Experience working in Agile project management environments
  • Understanding of Interaction design, Visual Design
  • Experience writing in English and French
  • A post-secondary education, ideally with a university degree or college diploma
  • At least 4 years of writing experience at a creative agency or in-house creative team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about the challenge at hand
  • A portfolio of work samples showcasing your copywriting work

Nice-to-have Skills/Experience and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:

  • Interaction & Visual Design Experience
  • Experience with usability research (focus on content)
  • Has worked with large design teams and multiple stakeholders (Product/Business/Technical partners)
  • Figma, Confluence, Jira experience
  • Has worked on content strategy projects
  • A working knowledge of accessibility standards and methods to address them
  • A knowledge of design and technology trends

Soft skills:

Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to collaborate with other designers and cross-functional team members, and ability to manage stakeholders and build relationships. Experience in facilitating workshops is a nice-to-have.
