Service Designer (Contract)

Contract Service Designer | SC Cleared | Remote (UK) | £550/day Inside IR35 | Start ASAP

RMG Digital is working with a large technology consultancy that delivers digital services across UK government. They need an experienced Service Designer to join a live programme straight away.

The role

• Lead service design across discovery and alpha, mapping end-to-end journeys across front and back office
• Run research with users and stakeholders, then turn the findings into service blueprints, journey maps and clear recommendations
• Work closely with user researchers, interaction designers, BAs and product managers in a multidisciplinary team
• Design services that meet the GDS Service Standard, and help the team get ready for assessments
• Present your work to senior stakeholders and keep everyone aligned on the user need

What you'll need

• Active SC Clearance. This is essential, as there's no time to sponsor clearance
• Proven service design experience on UK public sector programmes
• Good working knowledge of the GDS Service Standard and agile delivery
• Confidence running workshops and working with complex, multi-channel services
• Experience in defence, justice or national security would help, but isn't required

• 3-month initial contract, with a strong chance of extension
• £550 per day, Inside IR35
• Fully remote (UK based)
