Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst to join our HR Technology team. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that our SAP Payroll and other HR software applications meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. You will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and executing comprehensive test cases for system changes and integrations, ensuring timely delivery of robust and reliable products. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our HR systems, with a special focus on Canadian Payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Execution & Coordination: Prepare, coordinate, and execute detailed test cases for HR application system/integration changes. Troubleshoot issues, work closely with development teams to resolve defects, and provide hands-on support to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
- Quality Assessment & Reporting: Assess QA test results, make recommendations for production releases, and take appropriate action to address any issues. Write and maintain comprehensive QA test documentation, including strategies, test plans, test cases, results, and exit reports.
- Project & Stakeholder Management: Champion a customer-focused culture by deepening client relationships. Forecast workday estimates for projects and ongoing activities, and effectively communicate test status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Test Analyst.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HR/HCM modules.
- 5+ years of in-depth experience with Canadian Payroll year-end activities, wage and hour practices, and SAP Canadian payroll Infotypes (e.g., PA30, PA40).
- Strong experience with integration testing between Payroll and Finance (FI/CO) modules.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation (test plans, cases, reports).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
- Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Intermediate SQL skills.
- Working knowledge of Jira for defect and test management.
- SAP Payroll or SAP Employee Central (EC) certification is highly preferred.
