Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Content Designer for a 12-month contract to shape the digital experience for our Business Banking clients. You will be responsible for the content design across core banking journeys, focusing on payment methods and payee management. Working collaboratively within a cross-functional team, you will apply your expertise in information hierarchy and user-centered design to create clear, intuitive, and seamless digital products. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex business requirements in a highly regulated environment and advocate for content-first design principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the content design for core business banking features, including payment flows and payee management, ensuring clarity and ease of use.
- Establish and maintain information hierarchies, content standards, and guidelines to support client engagement and ensure consistency across the digital portal.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers in an agile environment, using tools like Figma, Jira, and Confluence to track work and contribute to design solutions.
- Facilitate design critiques and present content recommendations to stakeholders, advocating for inclusive and accessible user experiences.
- Participate in ideation sessions and user research activities to inform design decisions and solve complex user problems.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree or diploma.
- Minimum of 4 years of content writing or content design experience, preferably within an in-house creative team or agency.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your work, particularly in information design and hierarchy for digital products (not just marketing/sales copy).
- Demonstrated ability to understand and work with complex business requirements in a regulated industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with design and collaboration tools, particularly Figma.
- Broader product design experience, including the use of journey maps and storyboards.
- Working knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Professional proficiency in French.
