Typical Day in Role:
- Develop, maintain, and manage project plans, timelines, scope, deliverables, dependencies, and project governance artifacts.
- Coordinate project activities across business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, developers, and project management resources to ensure successful delivery.
- Facilitate project status meetings and maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies), ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of action items.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and subject matter experts to gather, validate, and refine business requirements.
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of technology solutions, working with developers and third-party vendors to ensure business objectives are met.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test planning, execution support, issue tracking, defect resolution, and stakeholder sign-off.
- Develop implementation, rollout, communication, and transition plans to support successful deployment and adoption.
- Prepare project status reports, executive updates, steering committee presentations, and decision-support documentation, including cost-benefit analyses where required.
- Provide guidance and oversight to project coordinators and support resources while ensuring effective execution of project administration activities.
- Ensure project delivery follows established project management methodologies, governance standards, and systems development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Manage project communications across all stakeholder groups, including senior leadership, business sponsors, and executive audiences.
- Support multiple project workstreams throughout various phases of delivery, including requirements gathering, data mapping, development, testing, and implementation.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities while driving project milestones and delivery objectives
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager managing end-to-end technology projects with strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and project delivery best practices
- Experience with PM tools: JIRA, Microsoft Project
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Experience managing ServiceNow implementation projects
- Experience from FIs - specifically HR technology and HR transformation project experience
- Bilingual in Spanish is an asset
- Experience delivering UI-focused and client-facing technology solutions
- Experience managing third-party vendors and external delivery partners
