Role Overview
We are seeking a diligent and physically fit Warehouse Associate to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling of goods, ensuring that inventory is accurately processed, stored, and prepared for shipment. You will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely order fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Picking, packing, and labelling orders according to customer specifications and deadlines.
- Operating warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assisting with regular inventory counts and stock reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order picking.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator's licence (reach or counterbalance).
- Previous experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or handheld scanners.
- Basic understanding of health and safety protocols (COSHH, Manual Handling).
